Wow! Gees.

2:15-6:15am radar loop with storm reports and metars.

Looks like the coast is rain but some 2-4" snow accumulations just north of it so far.. Too much flow from the ocean with this one for immediate coast. Storm center too close to land.

Heaviest snows/precip is coming now in waves. Anyone under the purples is getting intense snow rates.

Should be all over by tonight with scattered snow showers around.

I would say about a 150 mile miss for snow there. There's some more chances coming up. Actually Rain on Sunday Dec 2nd.

2:40pm Temps and Radar. Storm is over Portland right now. For those not sure, storms spin Counterclockwise. So winds are coming from the Ocean. Not sure the water temps but you can see why the coast is in the mid 40s.

Not sure why Eastern MA is with a NW wind. Might be residual warmth and its cooling down now.

Use this link to see where the storm is. Refreshes every 15 minutes. The lines represent the pressure. Tighter they are the more wind there is. 986mb over Maine. Strong storm.

An unusual sloppy mess today.... Temps hovered for some time at freezing, and the weather could not figure out what it was doing ... Oh well...

Not the storm I wanted, but I guess moisture is just that... oh well...

That dry band on the radar went all the way from Barre, Vermont east to New Brunswick. When it passed through here, the wind shifted from west to northeast. It went from a light southwest wind to a 25 mph northeast wind. Snow to a sleet/rain mix. We ended up with about 5 1/2 inches of heavy wet snow.

Timing is everything with this stuff. If I blow out my driveway right now and it freezes, it will be a skating rink. I'll try to time it so the surface will be coarse which will give other vehicles some traction.

Curently here in Aurora, ME...38F Degrees, Dew Point 38F Degrees, Winds East 14 MPH...

Just a brief update: This morning a dusting upon about 3" remaining snow.
It was almost white-out conditions, many times on my commute along Route 9 (Airline Road), to work this morning...Moments of remembering the road due to previous travel and now the obliterated landscape, happened frequently. I trailblazed through the storm, until found a faint hint of previous travel North of Eddington!
Yes, I did pray...all the way in to work and they were surprised to see me...
This morning was a choice, a process - a time through difficult travel...Don't know if I'll make that situation again!
