Typical for NY. I know we all can’t satisfy each other’s opinions.
It's not that we can't "satisfy each other's opinions" (whatever that means). It's that you and a cohort or two are unable to accept that others have different, more positive opinions about Long Island. You are spending an inordinate amount of time and energy trying to get us to think as negatively as you do, and are resorting to childish name-calling when we don't.
I love the trolls who knock everything about LI saying only fools who are uneducated about how bad it is here and how great it is elsewhere live here. Then the trolls reveal that they STILL live here.
So, who is the bigger fool? The ones who turn a blind eye to LI's issues or the ones who have discovered how bad LI is, will argue to others how bad it is on LI, yet still park their sorry ass on LI anyway.
Make no mistake, I don't turn a blind eye to Long Island's faults. I'm well aware of them. However, I am also a realist who has lived in many different places, including other countries, and I have friends and family in just about every state, so I know first-hand that no place is perfect. For my particular needs/wants, the good on Long Island far outweighs the bad. Other people's mileage may vary, as we all have different needs/wants. That's okay. I can accept that. But there is something seriously wrong with a person who is seemingly offended by the happiness of others.
Anything would be better than a roof done by a licensed LI contractor.
I wasn’t talking about quality of work, just the amount of kvetching.
