Good idea. It should be all gov't pensioners. Pensions are great for people who receive them but they are the dumbest dumbest business plan ever. What moron came up with the idea to pay people who no longer work for you That is a sure way to bankrupt a company down the road. And then we end up having to bail out comapnies and states...grr!!!

Pensions were a way to reward hard working, dedicated employees by investing a small amount of money into a plan for employees to retire at the age of 65 and enjoy their golden years.

The combination of people living longer and a faltering stock market is what's bankrupting companies.

Public sector pensions are a different animal. These leeches can retire at 55 and then double dip for many years after that. All on the back of the taxpayer.

.
My FIL and MIL have been living on his pension for over 30 years on LI. He is able to live here and pay $15,000. in taxes alone. That's not rewarding....that's overkill. That is no small amount of money by any means. He is getting more now than when he worked. How is that good for the company? It's not no matter how you look at it.

Crisis over, another politician checks in.
From the reporter pool report.

Quote:
Potus toured a street with many damaged homes. He talked with locals in front of a home whose front was partially missing and next to another that caved in on itself. The water was a few hundred feet away.

"We've got some work to do and I want you to know I'm here to do it," Potus said to a crowd outside a boarded up brick church called "St. George Malankara Orthodox Church of India Inc."

Obama then delivered remarks and stated, "I said we are going to be here until the rebuilding is complete. And I meant it. So I'm going to come back today but I'm also going to be coming back in the future to make sure we have followed through on that commitment."
