Heard about this a few weeks ago. Apparently many upstate politicians are dead set against letting Long Island access their hydro power.

You beat me to that one. when I was upstate for that short time they stressed to people about their solar, hydro, and wind turbines. I do agree though, that if upstate became its own territory, then it wouldn't get the long island and nyc tax money and they'd be hurting.

Because this could mean a really big reduction in our power bills I am wondering why the media has not made a big story about this??I know the was some mention in Newsday and it was on MT Leaders with pat Halpern on cable TV but thats about all so ??
