Need help. 1st time home buyer considering nassau. Not great budget, can only afford no more than 450K need good school district, heard good things about Herricks SD, not sure where to look up herricks school boundaries in order to start house hunting, any advice will help. thanks
search on the Web site by SCHOOL DISTRICT MLSLI.com it's very interesting to see the lower end houses in the premier districts. with your price range, you should find several "as-is" homes in Herricks but fewer opportunities in the other top-notch districts like East Williston and Jericho. You can see what you're comfortable with in each district and you may conclude you'd have a better quality of life in a more "average" district like the districts that feed into the Sewanhaka High Schools. That's a decision you'll need to make after looking at the homes and considering what you value most.
Beginning on the north and moving in a clockwise direction, the Herricks Union Free School District includes all or part of the Village of North Hills, the Hamlet of Searingtown, the Hamlet of Roslyn Heights, the Hamlet of Albertson, the Village of Williston Park, the Hamlet of Garden City Park, the Hamlet of Herricks, the Hamlet of North New Hyde Park and the Hamlet of Manhasset Hills.
