Why pay for something you can get for free? Cox recently raised the rates on their basic package to $16 a month. Kind of silly to throw money away when plenty of channels are broadcast over the air FREE.

The following websites are very helpful to find out which stations are available over the air for your particular location:
TV Fool
and
AntennaWeb
They will give you a detailed profile for your address.

What's included in the $16 package? When I called Cox, they told me the cheapest package was $60+.

It's mostly the same channels you can get off the air with an antenna plus WGN, TBS, CSPAN and shopping channels.

Why not just throw $100 bills out the window and buy a hummer for excellent mpg's. I'm by no means rich but some of the wealthiest people will tell you that you don't get there by blowing money when you have no reason to. Don't spread that around though.. that's the water bottle companies biggest fear.
