Obviously, if you are abiding by the company policy and not being sneaky about anything, you don't have to be intimidated by companies that are non-union. Las Vegas casinos is the only place I know that have these union companies to so call "represent" employees in being wrongfully terminated but really, you're paying these people so they have to be there when you complain endlessly. There's a lot of stipulations to their contract and if you're a lousy employee, they will go after you union or non union.

Well, I might as well write if off then, since I applied for a slightly higher position than cook, and have half that experience. If I was offered part time, there's no way I could accept it....too many bills to pay in addition to monthly rent.

Yes good luck to all!!! A cold night in the desert I will take over the 100s of inches of lake effect snow!LOL With all the good positive people on this thread regardless of jobs being secured at city center I think you will do well in the future! Optimism and a good attitude take you far in life! Noone really knows what will happen in the future. It is all market speculation! We can help control the market! The more we make wether it b at cc or somewhere else, the more we spend in this city! As for the negative nancys didnt ur mom teach u if u cant say something nice dont say anything at all!!! I know, I hope we all find out SOMETHING tomorrow after all this build up. When I called cc in August they said JOs would START sept 21, and go through Oct. The news said they would do them all SEPT 21, though right? I didn't see the news broadcast, just going off what I've read in here. Well, I really hope they send out mass emails tomorrow, we all just need to know. I'm so nervous, excited, scared, hopefull,lol. I'm a ball of emotions with it only being 1 day away. I'll be ok if I don't get it though, I know less than 10% of the applicants will. The percentage has to be MUCH higher though for all of us who've made it through all the other steps so far though. I will be extatic if I do get it though. So exciting just to be a part of something like this, and from the very beginning.
