What could I expect in commute time from

probably half hour - hour from Henderson/Green Valley, depending on if you take 215 or 95 and if there's an accident...

summerlin could be anywhere from 2-15 minutes

north las vegas (such as Aliante) maybe 20-30 minutes, i'm guessing...

Where is your zip located? I do not know the "preferred" zips for LV.

What is snoberland?

By Snoberland they mean Summerlin. If you work in Summerlin why not live in Summerlin as long as you have a choice? It's the best part of town, and you'd be close to work. If you lived in Green Valley, it might be a pain to commute to and from W. Charleston and Town Center during the rush hours, depending on where in GV you are. You could possibly get to work in 20 to 30minutes on a good day from Aliante, but remember, at that time of day everyone else if going to work too, so to be safe you'd need to plan 45 minutes. Plus a lot of people are taking their kids to school. And for Green Valley figure 45 to 60 minutes to be safe. It kind of depends on whether you are close enough in either GV or NLV to hop on I-215 (the Beltway), and then you're betting there won't be any wrecks. There will be though so you're always safer taking surface streets. If you drive like a crazy person you can cut a few minutes off, but is it worth it? If you live in Summerlin the commute will never be more than 15 or 20 minutes.

All depends on what is going on with construction / accidents.

Just not familiar with the city

From my experience.... (during rush hour)
215 and Charleston to Henderson - 45 min to 1 HR
Green Valley - 45 min
North Las Vegas 15 - 20 min
Summerlin... 0 - 10 min (pretty sure 215 and Charleston IS summerlin)

One does not live in GV or Henderson and work at Charleston and 215....there are numerous better choices including the obvious Summerlin...which is where you are working.

If you can't afford or don't care for Summerlin you can get better buys to the east, north and south. The further away you get the better the deal mostly. Don't go very far east.

Never cross the strip unless some life event forces it. Locals consider it to be filled with barbed wire. You try hard to live and work on the same side of the strip.
