I am 23/f and safety is of the utmost importance to me. I also want to get a feel of what Nevada has to offer besides the strip..I was thinking of going to Lake Mead and Red Rock..any thoughts on this and advice would be greatly appreciated. And how far is that from the strip seeing is I would be taking a cab! Thanks!!
What job are you interviewing for? I find Boston a fine town, SF, NYC, and Boston the top 3 US cities. Many transplants to LV from major cities miss the depth, and day-to-day lifestyle of their hometowns. But, come, explore, and enjoy. You may love LV, you may not. In my humble opinion, rule #1 would be: don't burn any bridges you may have built in the Boston area; be it family, friends, jobs, relationships, etc.

Well, good luck. Many from other major cities find LV to their liking, and LV is a fine place for "new beginnings".
