The restaurant beneath four queens is very expensive but one of my favorites!

Tonight was the Market Street Cafe at the Hotel California then the Scintas at the Plaza. Our friends chose because they had been at the one in Four Queens, but not this one.

Show was fantastic. Just like the last time we went.

Had the $9.99 Prime Rib Special. Not the best I've ever had (That was a very long time ago in Des Moines, Iowa), but darn good for the price. I'd go again.

Hypocrisy much? You compare Apples to Oranges. Why would someone compare a Las Vegas special for $10 to something otherwise noted as exceptional that was found in the middle of nowhere? Iowa is hardly about 'deals' and Vegas is hardly about 'quality', so I don't get why someone would try to compare them.

I compare them because I've spent 25 years trying to find a prime rib as good as Gianni's served in Des Moines. It's not supposed to be taken as a food critic's rating, just me mentioning something.

Not ScoopLV.

Have you eaten at Hugo's Cellar? Beneath Four Queens. Elegant restaurant w no windows. If that cant beat Iowa I would be in shock. My wealthy NYC friends come to town and always go there. Before I lived here we would visit and that restaurant was #1 on the list. Been years since I have been

I will do so!! Thanks.

That was the "other" option, but the couple we went with had eaten there before and wanted to try something different. Next time we do a show on Fremont we will go there.

Please don't juxtapose me with ScoopLV, as this is not a food critic's thread and I am not that person. The topic at hand was 'Vegas' restaurants, not 'Des Moines 'restaurants. Virtually nobody in Vegas will understand what you experienced in Iowa, IMO, as they are predominately from somewhere else. You didn't share a common trait is what I am trying to say. Sorry if it seems like I am picking on you but I feel that I called a spade.

I have an idea how about we get all unnecessarily nitpicky and ruin what was a nice thread.

Oh, wait. You already did. If you criticize for no apparent reason except, perhaps to make yourself feel important or better than others I will juxtapose my little heart out.

Have you noticed yet that no one else has a problem with that post. Seriously, get a grip.

Well, not to hijack the thread but Johnny’s Steak House in Des Moines, IA was the best ever waaaay back when....
