In this case because the public is putting up a large part of the money and has every right to the details of how the deal is structured and who makes what from it.

Private deals don't use public money.

I would also assert this deal has such impact on public infrastructure it could never be private.

FWIW the Stadium Authority does not have to comply with FOIA-type laws under its language and there are many sections that declare seemingly benign issues confidential. There would certainly be some parts that would be impossible to keep private but the investors did their best to be able to cover up as much as they could get away with.

There was a conversation between the announcers at the end of last nights game that led us to believe that the Raiders told (the owner?) that they needed to see a bunch of changes/improvements if he wanted them to stay and he agreed. Does this mean they aren't going to be here?

Heard anything?

Now that the raiders are one of the teams to beat, the people of Oakland might be a little more likely to agree to a stadium tax.

The oakland mayor has said she won't put any public money towards the raiders and a new stadium.... Vegas still has the lead in the race
