Just like any other city, some will and some won't

I'm sure the NFL may have an issue with a team moving from the #6 TV market in the country to #40. It could affect future TV deals for the league.

Not if the #6 market is already covered by another team "49ers", so this will be adding with no subtraction. When the Raiders moved to LA they kept many Oakland fans so I don't see this being much different. The fans they do lose will probably root for the 49ers or another team. So Las Vegas is a new market with great future possibilities. Win win for the NFL

I'll respectfully disagree. The SFO-SJO TV market is almost 4 times the size of the LAS market. With 2 teams in the Bay Area, the NFL is guaranteed 2 games every week shown in that market. Losing one cuts the potential TV audience in half.

The raiders are near or are last in TV ratings and attendance, they won't be losing anything when they move them here. In fact I think it might give them a ratings boost

The NFL could pick up more viewers if they required their players to respect the country that makes them millionaires in their early 20's for playing a game than moving to Las Vegas off the backs of the taxpayer. I do long for the ballot measure where the public gets a chance to veto this ridiculous waste of tax money. I will also enjoy voting against re-electing any of those big spending politicians who supported this white elephant. A beautiful stadium could have been built with private money, but why stop there when you can have a really opulent one paid for by someone else?

Same old problem. Las Vegas is not like anywhere else. The strip makes things very different. This author did not understand that.

He is wrong on things like incremental visitors. It is not that people come for the Raiders. They come because it is Las Vegas and the Raiders. And the employment growth is not the stadium. It is the strip and based on increased room nights.

We will see in 5 years how it really goes.
