I think so.

I can't see beyond the neon lights and parking lot flood lights when I run on the side trails off Town Center drive.

I love shopping/dining and commercial development, but this is becoming a bad idea due to the interrupted landscape.

There are a lot of things ruining a lot of views.

I mean, what kind of jack, er, donkey, put these stupid buildings between my house and Red Rock Canyon?

Some other tool put houses, and trees, and light poles in my view of the strip.

I'm extremely sensitive to light, and I'm looking forward to my move to Tucson next year where it will be much darker, easier on my eyes!

Tucson has this big telescope on top of one of the Catalina mountains, and they keep the lights subdued in Tucson, as a result of it, far fewer streetlights.

Who needs all these excessive streetlights in this city and all the other unnecessary lighting!

Ooooooh! That second picture looks great. Back lit rainstorm. I like how it frames the Stratosphere.

Being right next to Red Rock seems more out of place...

If you didn't want big buildings near you, Vegas is probably not the best place to be.

Green acres is the place for me.
Farm livin' is the life for me.
Land spreadin' out so far and wide
Keep Manhattan, just give me that countryside

I think the downtown Summerlin area is attractive and actually compliments the mountainscape behind it. Breaks up the suburban sprawl a little bit. The office building's dark blue puts a nice contrast up against our lighter sky. Perhaps they could have made the dome part a bit less circus-ish, but all in all, I dig the area.
Not too long ago, it was just a half-developed lot.
