Yup. Almost put the top down on the car today. We will be back in the 60s next week.

It just seems pretty damn convenient that the weather is terrible as soon as I move here. I was here 11 years ago for a while and it rained once for 10 minutes and that was it.

It rained a hell of a lot this year, and now snow. I just can't win.

It has rained less than 2.5" year to date, and 40% of that was in one rainstorm a few weeks back. I will be that where you're from has had a helluva lot more than 2" of rain. The cold can go away any time now, but I am thankful that it rains once every few months here.

2.97" will be three this week.

I stand corrected. I found a site by neighborhood. At my house we've had 4.72" year to date. Still better than almost 4' of rain that you mentioned. And it is still nice to go a 3 month span with a total of 0.04" of rain LOL

Here's the site if you want to see precipitation by neighborhood.

Freeze warnings yesterday and today for Phoenix area! Can't truly get away from it in the Mountain States.

Aside from the cold being miserable, the pest control company I work for is super slow right now. The low temps keep the pests dormant and my days in the office quiet. Can't wait for summer. Every time I look at the national weather forecast I do realize it could be a lot worse.

You made a good choice, ElleTea! From the windchill standpoint! Phoenix and L.A. share the lowest average yearly windspeeds in the country @ an enviable 6.2MPH, compared to windier Las Vegas at 9.3MPH.

The one drawback, with less wind, the potential for more smog!

I hate wind. Des Moines was windy. So annoying. (Very similar weather to Chicago)

I have definitely noticed how still it always seems to be outside.
