Since i've moved here, i've had no problems and auto pay. Never ever thought twice. My bill for august was $53 and thought it was autopayed. I finally opened a bill up today and its $545 Every single month they are charging me a lien filing fee and a lien release fee.. October had 2 of each.... Any ideas... they are closed so there is no human to talk to ...

Well you just convinced me to go check mine.

I have found them generally to be rational in a half dozen things involving sold houses.

So I suspect your payment did not work one month and they have been whacking you since.Worse come to worse pay it and take them to small claims court. Been my experience none of the large business in LV want to go there.

The same thing happened to me except it was a commercial account and I had to pay $3600 to remove the lien and get them to reinstate trash service. I had zero idea the trash wasn't being paid. Expensive lesson.

It's such a monopoly and you don't have a choice: you will pay one way or another.

They can't. That is why you go to small claims court.

In North Las Vegas, water, sewer, and trash are billed monthly by the city in a combined bill. It's pretty convenient, though I believe we pay slightly more for those services.

I have autopay and get an email from them every time a payment is due. Went to paperless billing.

As to your situation, talk with them about what went wrong (other than you not reading your mail) and see what they say. Then get back to us about what they said.

My biggest issue is they charge you for a lien and a release every bill. Yet they only place 1 lien and don't release. I plan to get caught up and then take them to court

Wait a minute. The OP first posted about this nearly a year ago then the thread remains silent until now. And it still isn't cleared up? What happened? I'd have thought this would have been worked out way before now.

As an aside, our HOA does pay our trash bill. We do pay all other utilities though.
