This is Dental cleaning month so most vets charge 150 bucks.

That's great information. I will check around tomorrow. The Seven Hills Groupon, when checking, is not as good as it sounds. You must first pay $149. Then you make the appt. for the cleaning. Drop the dog off first thing in the morning when they do the blood check. If the dog's functions do not check out, you get called to come back and pick the dog up, plus pay out of pocket for the bloodwork. You are therefore then stuck with a $149 in a Groupon that can only be used there for other services. Providing you need other services and want to drive to Henderson.

Oh, I didn't see that part skimmed right over it. You wouldn't have to pay your regular vet for the bloodwork if they couldn't perform the procedure?

Lucky for me my dog has clean teeth. I've never taken any dog to have its teeth cleaned.

I bought the boarding Groupon from Critter Care and used that one earlier this month. Can't beat 5 nights for $45. Their regular prices are reasonable too so that is where our dog will go for boarding from now on. I get so sick of paying 35-$40 per night.

Also since someone asked about vets our dog goes to Dr. Arteaga at Sahara Animal Hospital. It's a small, old clinic and he doesn't charge and arm and a leg.

have heard of too many horror stories, dogs never waking up after anesthesia, etc

i have taken my two dogs to have their teeth cleaned and i felt so bad for them the next day, they were miserable for a whole day. those drugs can't be good for them.

doubt i will ever risk taking my dogs again. better to be proactive about their teeth
