I drive past telephone poles with ads for carpet cleaning on them. Are they any good or just gimmicks?

They are real companies. We tried it, but did not get any response on them. We we put them out on the weekend and then take them back up, if not the city takes them down, and they cost quite a bit to get made up.

If you want your carpet cleaned, call Stanley Steemer.

No way! I had mine serviced a couple of months ago by them, about a week later everything was back up.

We started doing trade work for a company, and they even go Black Chaulk board paint up, that my husband had spilled a couple of days before them coming out (thought I was going to have to replace the carpet). Been a month and stains have stayed gone. Looked almost brand new.

I and you does not make sense when followed by each other without a verb in between.

I think you meant IF, but then again I am illiterate.

Get a life...you need counseling if you fail to understand the concept of typographical error. Excuse me your highness.

Anybody needs one drop me a DM. He is very good though not as inexpensive as some. I use him for heavy jobs or stains...like a house where the carpets have not been done in years.

Maybe a carpet expert can answer my questions, but first ...

I did a lot of internet research and most Vegas companies had tons of complaints. I tried Sears. Call staff was good. Appointment was kept on time. He seemed to move fast to me, but it was a steam/truck unit. So, I thought it was working.

Our house was empty for 9 months before we bought it (over the Summer too). The electric was on, but the air was set at like 85. Now the carpet is visibly dirty with some old spots showing. I think the carpet is 6-7 years old. The carpet seems very dry. There are only two of us with no kids.

Why is my carpet not staying clean? Is it a Vegas phenom? Is the carpet just too old? If its cleanable, I'll DM olecapt. I don't mind paying as compared to replacing.
