Then you don't want to be in an HOA controlled community. The nicer communities in Las Vegas always are HOA.

Peace and quiet as opposed to regular neighborhoods.
And contrary to what Von thinks, that they all sit around playing bingo, most are referred to as active adult communities, and everyone is out doing something within the community or elsewhere, not sitting around in their rocking chairs or yelling out "BINGO!" (unless they hit a jackpot in one of the casino's.)

You probably want to stay away form communities that have so many Veterans and retired police officers too.

I was trying to quote you and sent you a rep by mistake.
But anyway, I like older people and would love to live around them. Many people have lived their lives and want some peace now. They should be able to have it without people criticizing them. If everyone liked the same things in this world, then in my world, everyone would have cats and no kids. They would all wear jeans and t-shirts and go barefoot. They would fracture their toes a lot by going barefoot, but that's beside the point. They would drink more tea than coffee. And read all the time. See how boring some of you think it is? That's why the world has so many choices.
They are all types of communities for all types of people. Choose one that you like and do your own thing.

Planet of the Cats. Sounds good to me, until they end up like Planet of the Apes and imprison everyone and use them for slaves. I bet dogs would not be that smart to do that.

I think us chickens would like to enslave mankind. After all, they eat us for dinner way too much. Time to eat the humans.

Unhappy ardiente HOA

I love living in Ardiente. The surrounding area is not a concern because of our guard gated entry. TV for secondary entries.. The HOA though can be a big problem. It seems their are separate rules for New Shea homesites and the older Centex homes.. Do to a 90-= 120 decibel water feature in the neighbors back yard. I cannot open my back windows or sit in my yard. The hoa said this is not noise? Hearing loss rated decibels included. I tried to build wall to block noise. The arc hoa committee said not in ccr's. Shea homes and some of the older homes took down fences and built walls. Rules for some and not for others.

HELP!
