The servers will happily (if not correctly) point out vegetarian options on the menu. But my point is the menu was designed from the top down for people who aren't squeamish about consuming animal products.

In the back of the house, taking care of your dietary needs will be met with anything from indifference ("Dice some veg for the vegan at table 21 and saute it with some olive oil") to sincere regret ("I'm sorry, we just don't have a whole lot to offer you.")

Steve Wynn didn't become a billionaire by ignoring his market. His market is not interested in hummus, couscous and animal-free stir fry. His market wants steak, butter and stock.

I can eat at any restaurant. It might take some creative ordering, but it can be done.

I was just wondering why the Wynn website seemed to highlight vegan dining, but actually didn't seem to offer much. It's almost an insult. It's like going someplace that says they have vegetarian food, then says "Look! We have pasta primavera!"

Let me get this straight. You won't eat meat. But you'll buy shoes that cost more than a weeks pay for me from a manufacturer who uses a LOT of leather?

This is why vegetarians drive foodies nuts.

Warning: Strong language about vegetarians at this link

A simple test to tell whether you're a vegetarian ******* or not.

I'll admit I only looked at about half of the menus, I was only able to access them after I acted like I wanted a reservation. In that searching I saw lots of meat dishes, but nothing vegetarian.

Of course he is a Vegan. Everybody that lives in Las Vegas is a Vegan!

I don't BUY Manolo Blahniks, silly! I just like to look at them cuz they are pretty! (kind if like most people who go to the Ferrari dealership there, I am sure) NO WAY do I have that kind of cash laying around anyway! I have a few pairs of leather shoes, yes, but most are not. **Just checked. The only pair I have that have any leather is a pair of sneakers that are mostly made up of non-leather parts.**

Wearing a leather shoe and consuming a dead chicken are two different things. But I didn't come here to debate my food choices with you.

And FTR, if my salad came with a piece of chicken that I did not order, no I would not eat it. I would also not eat green peppers, because I don't like them. Why does that make me an a******? I guess every time we get something in a restaurant we better just eat it whether we like it or not to avoid being called names.

I could not stick to a strictly vegan diet but here is a good resource:
Engine 2 If I was vegan I doubt I would eat at restaurants. The only way to make sure it is prepared the right way is to do it yourself. Have you seen "Forks Over Knives"?

I am not sure if the link to the City Life article was complete. When I was at the Wynn, the waiter offered to bring me a vegan menu.

Quoting Maddox for philosophical interpretations of life is like those who quote Jon Stewart's show when arguing politics as if it is a serious news program. Maddox, like Stewart is an entertainer. (I love them both)

For the record, if I am brought food I did not order I am going to make the restaurant "eat it".

Now I wonder why there weren't vegan menus on the Wynn website?
