What was it, 40 years ago they combined the LVPD with the Clark County Sheriff's Department and they still don't know if it saved any money? Henderson and Northtown refused to go along but they were so small back then it didn't matter. There has (almost) always been a Sheriff's substation at the airport btw.

Nothing to do with anything, but we only had six NHP cops in Clark County then. Now about every 3rd car on a state highway outside of Clark County, where nobody lives, is a NHP Trooper thanks to Federal regulations imposing their will on our state.

Thanks for the links.

Yeah, I think they used to teach aircraft maintenance or something; maybe ground school? I read something about that but it's been quite a while.

Mo'lady took a flight in one of those and did a news story on it at Ch-3. Much later we saw all three go out one day and only two returned. Don't know if anyone was killed in the crash, but I remember when they lost it.
