If you're awake in the NW (Durango/95 area), you heard it. What the hell was that? Sounded like a bomb or dynamite or something. Definitely not a gunshot (unless we're talking about the guns on a Destroyer).

Anyone else hear that?

My wife woke up suddenly from a deep sleep and came downstairs asking "what the hell was that", as I was starting to look out the windows for craters and flames (none sighted).

i will never forget when we first moved in this house.. it was about 3am... house started shaking.. helicopter noise louder and louder... i got up.. looked outside and the spotlight was in our park right behind the house.. went downstairs to see 7 police cars arrive, police get out.. guns drawn...

found out that a ex husband came to visit the ex wife who had a restraining order.. he pulled a gun.. she pulled a gun... end of story.. nobody got shot... wife gone a few days later.. house foreclosed...

I didn't hear anything and I am next to the window with the beltway just beyond. Must be something in your general area. The last time we heard something like that, we found out later someone's house blew up down the street.

Could be a meth lab exploding. But you'd hear a lot of sirens afterwards for one of those.
