First ... I know ... I know ... this is NOT the relationship thread.

That being said ... I'm STILL gonna post here! LOL

So I'm READY to start dating again and I'm NOT hearing good things about dating in Vegas. I'm not really into bars ... been there done that have a few t-shirts. lol Plus from what I remember the bar really wasn't the best place to find relationship minded guys. lol So ... here in Vegas what are the other options? Casino ... I don't gamble ... if I lose $5 I'm pissed off! LOL They closed down my beloved Borders ... maybe I could've met a hottie intellectual type there? lol Are Happy Hours the same as the bar? I was thinking Blue Martini or Town Square?? Then there's the online thing Plentyoffish ... I must be a weirdo magnet because I get the strangest emails from guys. LOL I'm currently actively seeking employment so maybe when I get my new job I will meet him there? I think I read an article somewhere that said a lot of relationships start at work ... or something like that. lol

Any suggestions from my fellow single Vegas peeps OR ... possibly you found the love of your life in Vegas if so ... where and how??

If your not a bar person (that's ok!) you def won't find your match there. It's just, doing things you like doing.. and then seizing an opportunityif you see one.

I don't live there, but it's really the same everywhere.

Your right, who knows what might happen once you start working. Co-workers, or customers.. things can happen. If you LOOK, it's going to be hard to find. Just try and keep an open mind and let it happen naturally.

In the meantime, just have a lot of sex lol lol

EVERYONE says ... it will happen when you least expect it , just wait it will happen ... and and and I'm sure everyone has heard them all. What I find interesting is the person who's usually saying that is already married or in a relationship!

I assume saying "just wait it will happen" is much easier to say when you're already in a relationship. lol

One of my good friends is convinced that match.com is the answer ... they have success story commercials after all. So it MUST be true... LMAO

I'm Single, but just turning 53.
I actually have found that while in NY I was just another 'shlub' (its a yiddish word, google it)
In LV I am something of a commodity, So I think its part looks, part attitude and part luck.

As far as Match.com and there ilk, The people on there have such high expectation, that there mate
(if your a woman, he is a college educated, 6' 2" man, who loves Broadway musicals, and volunteers at a puppy adoption service when he is not earning $167K in his environmentally friendly job. And if your a man, she is a 23 Y/O collage grad, who's was bi-curious but decided she loved men more, but it more then willing to teach you a thing or two)

Uhhh. no

Jonathan
