I like the area myself. The casino is not bad. Alot of shopping a few miles west and down on Craig. The strip is about a 20 minute drive. Which is nice when family comes to town. Close enough to go see them. But far enough away from the strip for them to not want to stay. So they get a room on the strip.

Thats why I will buying a smaller home here. But with the market about to start its double dip. I can wait. And if I wait long enough. I can move in to Sun city.

Also can any one recommend a Dentist close by?

There is a dentist on Centennial Parkway/Aliante parkway. And a couple of dental offices on Allen/Ann. And one in the Costco shopping center that is affiliated with Alexander Dental over on Alexander/MLK. I have only been to the last one, not the others above.

Aliante isn't under flight path at all right? In the contract it says about flight pah in Vegas.

I think I am gonna pick Aliante as my home, anything you guys don't like about it? (a little far to Henderson that's ok, ok distance to strip but with so-so traffic it can take around 45min to 1 hour with heavy traffic? that's ok for me too. average to good schools that's good. a good distance from old NLV that's good too)

You will have an occasional military jet overhead. Nothing that happens like clockwork, no commercial aircraft. I saw a dozen helicopters once, it was pretty cool.

You will like the Aliante area. I'm not "in" it but I'm a stones throw from it. I'll probably be in Sun City in 10 years if I'm still in Vegas or alive for that matter.

Sun City Aliante is quite nice. Reasonably safe and friendly. It is a little smaller and less expensive than some of the Sun Cities but it is quite serviceable. Much of it is golf course frontage and it has a very nice club house and gym. If you like activiites it is a great place.

It is the far north community of the city of North Las Vegas. There are bad areas in NLV but you would be moving a long way from the sketchy areas. There is a nice casino and a super park nearby and lots of shopping and such.

Pink String will probably chime in...she lives in Aliante a half mile or so from Sun City. She can give you a neighbors view.
