My wife and I just tried El Patron on Maryland Parkway the other night. Was pretty good.

I don't really think of Cozymel's as Mexican, at least not like the traditional Mexican. I think they call it coastal Mexican or something like that.

My favorite always was Bonito Michoacan on Decatur.

I love, love, love Cafe Rio, although it's probably considered more American/Mexican. The food tastes like real food and you get to decide how it's made and how you want it.

BTW their homemade tortillas are fantastic and the cost is pretty reasonable- 6$-8$

My favorite thing there was a shot of Tarantula tequila right out of the cooler and a Smirnoff Ice.

Super Mex borders on "fake Mex" too if you ask me, but its not a bad choice to eat. Tacos Mexico is about as authentic as you can find at least for tacos and like, but most of the people I have sent there don't like it all. Turns out they really don't like something truly authentic Mexican and can't give high ratings to a Mexican place that doesn't begin with chips and salsa. So what exactly are you looking for?

There is a small place called "El Burrito" on Del Webb, cross street Rampart, in the strip mall per se. Quiet, service is excellent, the food is really decent, and the prices are very reasonable.

Dona Maria's is also a great place.....been eating there over 25 years....back in the day they were a small place on Main.....Recommend both...
