You are brave! Traffic was awful on Friday so I can imagine how the crowds were out this weekend at the shopping centers.

and YES, it is very important for me to live in a diverse neighborhood (which are usually the more liberal neighborhoods). I know I could survive in Farragut just fine, but my mind has matured, my thoughts are more open minded and not only would we (my daughter and I) thrive in a more liberal neighborhood, she would be better influenced, in my opinion.

I understand that many many people do not even know this "segregation of mindset" exist. I was looking at houses in north knoxville with my realtor in her 50's with purple hair who also lived in North Knoxville. I mentioned "liberal area" thinking she would know exactly what I was talking about, she did not.

Like I have mentioned before, I wish I was politically ignorant. (by ignorant I mean not know much about the subject, not stupid), but I am not so therefore if I have any control of what type of neighborhood I live in (which I do), I will do my best to make that part of my life work for me.
Veracity,
may I ask where you ended up? We are moving to the Knoxville area early Summer and though I have found some great info in this forum no one seems to follow up with where they make a final decision to move or if they are happy with that decision.
So, I am curious, did you find your area and are you happy there?
Thanks!

Veracity could be lurking but hasn't logged in since 8-7-12. I assume she is out enjoying Knoxville to the max!

Better than most areas of the country. You'll want to take a look at our threads. There is often a mention of the local economy.
