And to think I volunteered for extra hours and will now miss Boomsday. Dang it.

I do roadside assistance for Busdget rental trucks--it's our busiest weekend of the year AND a holiday weekend. people just assume there are 30 techs in every remote location of the country ready and waiting to fix their trucks (and a lot of them today have been caused by negligence)

Good news is I am getting off early--I am getting out of work at 7 and then getting ready to drive as close as we can to the festivities so we can at least see the fireworks display I am so excited!!!

Wow. Can I relate to this. All customers are valuable and special. The problem is that some think they are MORE special.

We're not going to the fireworks. I know there is a place to watch them without going downtown, but I don't remember where. Our house is way up and we could probably see them, but we would have to climb one of those 23 trees.

WEll, we drove around for a while (we left the apartment at 7:30) drove by the house, went to sonic for ice cream and came home. We drove through a bunch of the traffic and decided it was just too much for tonight. So we came home and watched them on tv. I won't miss another one. Ever.

My favorite holiday growing up was the fourth of july, and alot of the reason was because i love fireworks--the display I had been going to since I was 10 was one of the best in our area. Boomsday made it look like nothing, lol.

I am such a big dorky sap that I sat and cried through a lot of it, thinking...wow...I am finally home.

Goodnight, everyone.

Goodnight, everyone.
I've done that, too. Welcome to "The Dorky Sap Club."

I want to take a ride today down through Concord and around the river. Then I want to buy some more plants and decorations. Believe it or not, I haven't decorated our fireplaces. I am leaving one for now, since it needs to be painted (I'm getting rid of the white) but the other one needs to be done.

I hope to have a fun day, if the family doesn't wear me down!

ooh, I am jealous of your fireplaces! We're getting ready to head out as well...not sure where. Keep your eyes out for the blue Avon-mobile, ROFL I really need to get them changed...
