Mystic: If you need to satisfy the craving of fireworks drive out the the big fireplace spot, Watt Road exit, and go in and watch some of the videos on their flat screens. It is an amazing shock to the senses. Not just the video but the energy in the store is so festive and the people there all all there for the same reason. almost a mini party going on. At least when I was there.

Default Hi

Just dropping by to say hi to everyone, went to a cookout today and had a lovely time. Now I am keeping an eye on Florida, looks like they may not dodge all these storms that are forming.

Suzanne, thinking of you, maybe you need to hurry with that ark and get busy sailing up this way, DH will be here so you may as well join him

I know it is early, but I don't want to miss anyone, so I wanted to say good night to you all and I will see you tomorrow.

I will have to get that! Thanks for letting us know!

Got the mantle tricked out, today!

Also adopted a dog at Young-Williams Center! He's a sharpie/hound mix. His name is Harvey, but he has to stay at the center overnight so that he can be neutered, microchipped, etc. I cried when he had to go back to his kennel and he looked really sad to see us go.

We pick him up tomorrow afternoon!

So you get stuck looking at a picture of my mantle!

very pretty, hik! When you go to the animal center, do they make you wait a certain amount of time (I mean, had you already been in there before today to see him?) Back in MD it takes about a week to get a pet from an adoption center...so I was just curious how it works here. We may do the same thing--we have had a few dogs but one passed away and the other we ended up giving to a friend when we moved at our last place because they wouldnt accept dogs. Once we are at the house, we'll have a nice fenced yard for said dog--I am not sure if I would be more excited or the kids, lol

Smile Congratulations, Hiknapster Family!! Congratulations, Harvey!

Hik, I love the mantle. Great clock!

And, a dog already! I think that he is a very fortunate pup to find a family like you, DH and Lauren. Boy, will he be loved about 10 pounds worth the first week or what?

Harvey - very cute. It's great that they require them to be micro-chipped. Too many dogs get lost (and, Harvey may have been one of them!). And, people do the whole world, including the 4 legged world a favor by neutering. There are so many homeless pets. Thank you for loving one of them.
