KC has the best, sunniest winter weather in the midwest, buddy. People in Minnesota manage, and I bet with 1/2 ounce of creativity, you could manage a little better.

KC is much further west at the far western margin of the Midwest so it stands to reason the number of sunny days will be higher. Downsloping air of the Rockies has an effect on that. The air is also BONE DRY much of the time and that does a number on your skin. KC does have a very intense sun angle due to its latitude at just under 39N compared to 44.5N of Minneapolis, which is northern, but similar to most of Europe. Europe and its cities are generally at a much higher latitude compared to most of the US anyway.

People who are easily bored typically lack creativity, allow themselves to get into ruts, or put undue expectation on others to keep them entertained.

But, seriously. There are things going on CONSTANTLY in KC. If they're ALL boring to you, maybe it's not KC, maybe it's just you.
I like this post a lot. I am the same way, I can't imagine how anyone could be bored in a large city like KC.

Both in stats and in appearance, KC metro is becoming less segregated. There are still many parts of KC that are mostly one race but the direction of nearly all urban/suburbanized areas is integration, with blacks spreading out, significant increase in latino pops in city/burbs and more asian moving into the metro. Immigrants are moving into the E Side, especially the NE side, which is about as integrated as it gets. Old NE Side reminds me of Echo Park in LA or parts of Queens. KCK is about to become <50% white and latinos will soon pass up black population. But if someone wants to live in an area that is dominantly one race, they have that option too.

Edit: Looks like KCK does have more latino than black now...

Bad drivers. I swear 75% of the drivers are asleep at the wheel at any given moment.

If you want to see high property tax look at Austin, TX. WOW. I do not like the 1% KCMO city tax - I am surprised kc continues to have the same problems when they get this cash flow... Most cities do NOT have this tax.

Actually, many large cities have the earnings tax. While dated, this site shows how many participate .. 14 states and DC permit city earnings tax - some more excessive that 1% the Missouri cities enforce:

City Income Taxes - U.S. Cities With an Income Tax

While, I personally feel US citizens in general are over taxed to support government spending that is out of control, this 1% city earnings tax is not a significant concern.

You just completely contradicted yoruself -- you understand that if KC didn't have the earnings tax they would simply be forced to raise both the sales tax and the property tax right?
