My problem with Johnson Co. KS is that they chose to build and pave over the most fertile farmland in the entire state and some of the very best in the nation. The density is too closely packed together and as it begins to age I am afraid it will fall apart from cheap construction the way the closer in Western suburbs of Chicago have done. Too many strip malls, too many malls that have allowed to deteriorate and are being left to die as JOCO continues to expand to the South. West of Nall there is very little "charm".The urban plan could have been much more carefully considered and made JOCO a really beautiful place rather than just more of the same.

When I read the last couple of posts attacking JOCO, I kept looking for the smilies that would reveal that they were surely in jest.

It continues to be fascinating and entertaining....and parallels a certain religious conflict half way around the globe with which most of us are very familiar.
