Well, I blame the stupid comets for KC losing the Kings. Had KC not been Comets crazy, the city may still have an NBA team! I remember the rival St Louis Steamers?

Actually most towns were ignoring their NBA teams at the time. The Kings went to Sacramento right before the NBA became popular. I still say if they would have stayed just a couple more years, they would still be in KC today.

At one time didn't KC have the NHL, NBA, MLB, NFL and the crazy popular MISL Comets? The Scouts were in KC while the Comets were I think.

I've read the Kings left because the ownership group was poorly organized and cash strapped and the damage at Kemper during a storm hurt attendance. The attendance was actually pretty decent until the end.

The NHL Scouts played in KC from 1974-1976. The Comets played from 1980-1991. The Kings were in KC from 1972-1985.

Didn't the Kings also play in Omaha kind of like when the Packers used to play in Milwaukee at times?
That was just a messed up deal that couldn't have helped the Kings at all.
