Just moved into Meadowfield from Charleston. Yes, they do have a HOA and covenants and
restrictions, but believe me .. Their little 8 pages of C&R in Meadowfield is nothing compaired to the
34 pages one we are surviving under in Charleston SC .. I will take Meadowfield any day of the week.
Least I can keep my boat in my yard behind my fence .. In Charleston NO Subdivision will let you do that
and to dry stack your boat, cheapest, is $300+ a month ...

Meadowfield resident,

is the HOA the reason that so many houses are for sale in that subdivision? We are looking to make the move south (Summer 2012) from NW Ohio and there were several listings that fit my specs in your neighborhood. We are coming down next week to look at some areas and neighborhoods and your neighborhood is on my list.

So many for sale in the subdivision? In case you hadn't noticed, there are a lot of houses for sale just about everywhere !!!
For probably the same reason so many houses are for sale everywhere bad economy, poor buying decisions, no credit check mortages and bailing out before it totally goes under.
I would guess they are a result of the speculative building and finance of the last decade. As house values have fallen the value become a lot less than the remaining principal on the, mortgage and people try to sell or abandon the houses. This applies more to multi-house speculators than to folks actually living in the houses.
I would drive around the area and check out the neighborhood see what shape the other homes are in. See how well the HOA enforces the rules or do they let things slide.
Good luck with your search.

I live in Yulee Fl it's a nice town. You're not far from Ga. or from Fernandina Beach.Walmart is right up the road & they just put up a Publix & a few other stores in the shopping center.I live in an apt. complex on Hwy 17 right across from here they are putting up a Dollar General.so I'm not far from stores & Jacksonville is also just about 20 mins from me on hwy 17 too.So I'm in the middle of it all sorta.I can go one way on 17 & head to Kingsland Ga or the other to Jax Fl. or turn on A1A left to go to Callahan or right to Fernandina beach.Yulee is a nice place to live.Good luck to all on where y'all choose to live.

Default Flora Parke/Yulee Communities

Hello, We are considering buying in Flora Parke. I was wondering if anyone can tell me how the neighborhood and HOA are? We would really like a pool in a neighborhood, but don't want to pay CDD fees or super high HOA fees (North Hampton) to get it. Any information would be appreciated, thank you.
