I'm wondering how hard it is to add another section to the TU one where real news is reported. I would like to see the paper have different sections for Local, National, World, Sports News. And a section that covers letters to the editor, obits and whats currently happening locally that people might be interested in. Call it metro/entertainment/lifestyle. You can still have your food supplement on Thursday, your Real Estate special on the week-ends. And your religious section on Sundays. But include some real news from around the country, as there's more than just things about Jacksonville that interests most people.

I quess what drove me to post this was going on the TU website this week and not seeing anything about whats going on in Washington with the debt ceiling debate. In the past I had noticed this and like many have said I can get plenty of credible national news elsewhere. It just really seem to hit home this time, I just checked the TU site before I posted this and it is all Jaguars in the lead news. I had thought this is pretty significant and historic news to write about considering we have so many retiree's on SS also here in Jax. I am smart enough to know though if Tim Tebow was to get picked up by the Jags all news would cease to exist for at least a few days.

Well, on m.jacksonville.com, one of the headlines is about the debt. But I do agree that the TU could do better.

Naww in the actually the paper the A section is the national AP section. Online sites always cover the local stories. Plus Google can help you find the stories you are looking for or do you just want a Jax reporter's perspective?

after seeing this joke of an agreement pass today, I don't think I want to see anymore national news. Shoot all of them in DC
