I found your post while searching around for peak times for fall color change. We've been going to brown county and on into Bloomington for years now, but have never taken SR 446. What a beautiful find!! We loved all the color around Monroe lake but particularly loved the tall trees mixed with the pines along the route on SR 446. You said it right, AMAZING...JUST AMAZING!!

In northern Indiana the leaves started changing in September. The sugar maple trees are usually the first to display fall color. In central and southern Indiana October into early November is good for peak color.Simon India - Electrical Switches Manufacturer and Supplier
