I'm not sure if these boycott ideas that are being floated will take hold or not. A lot depends on whether the boycotts, if approved, are just symbolic, or if they really have some teeth in them..

Remember Arizona..you reap what you sow..

Quote:
Juan Carlos Ruiz, director of the Latino Federation of Greater Washington, said lawyers are currently looking into how such a boycott would operate. Ruiz said he hopes the council could take up the resolution as early as next week.

The resolution could be modeled after one the San Francisco Board of Supervisors plans to take up today in response to the new Arizona law that allows police to stop anyone they suspect of being in the country illegally.

That resolution calls for the San Francisco city government to stop doing business with Arizona and Arizona-based companies.

Hmmm Now why don't these same leaders join together and denounce illegal immigration?
Why don't they demand that the Fed do its job so states don't feel forced to take on the job?

In retaliation, Americans will boycott the George Lopez show.

Oh wait, nobody's watching anyway.

"Do what we want or we'll scream and stomp our feet!"

Where have I heard that before? The Tea Party movement should take notice; lots of new recruits to be had. I have no concern nor respect for crybabies.

Thugs using government to force the stoppage of commerce. I hope Arizonians pick up the slack and buy double of their usual products and services to make the boycott completely ineffective. Of course, that'll just make these hotheads try to apply for more government control.

I swear, these dummies love looking only to the federal government for the solutions to all their problems. Probably makes sense since many are accustomed to that coming from Mexico, a centrally planned/controlled and corrupt country.

And why don't those that go on and on about illegal immigration focus on the REAL problem of employers?

The tea party is doing it on its own, rather than trying to get Uncle Sam to enforce something. Basically, the tea party is the exact opposite of these morons.

Latino's would benefit by looking into the NAACP boycott of South Carolina. Not only did that boycott not work, it was an abysmmal failure. South Carolina actually saw an increase in tourism during that time, not a decrease, as the NAACP expected. It's one of those things that make you go "hmmm....maybe the boycott is why many people decided to visit?!" Afterall, the NAACP made it abundently clear that its supporters would not be going to SC for vacation. Quite frankly, that may have been the driving force for many tourists to actually visit South Carolina.

Arizona could see the same benefit.
