Detroit— An Iraqi facing deportation threatened to kill an immigration officer with a shard of Plexiglas, spit on another federal agent and caused more than $700 damage to a police car Friday, according to court records.
From The Detroit News: Wayne County | Kicking and spitting, Iraqi arrested as illegal immigrant, feds say | The Detroit News (http://detnews.com/article/20110825/METRO01/108250451/Kicking-and-spitting--Iraqi-arrested-as-illegal-immigrant--feds-say#ixzz1W7IBpN3j - broken link)
This is very typical of illegals - this guy could be fighting for freedom in his own country, there's really no excuse for him not to do just that, but they prefer getting to the USA and putting up a fight here. The big easy money, the life of food stamps and Medicaid I guess are much more appealing than doing something positive for his own country.

lolololol.
Not to get all, you know, reasonable up in here, but I'm pretty sure there might be a few valid "excuses" for not wanting to engage in some particular war.

Do you excuse this illegal's behavior? Is this one of the model non-citizens that we should accept?
Agreed, LOL
I never thought that you did. My point was to demonstrate to my side of the debate that yours isn't all about looking the other way or making excuses.
I would like to see the debates clean up and become more reasonable.
Thanks for helping out.
Is the argument that illegal immigrants all cause economic depravity and crime? Or that their brand of crime is somehow worse than the crimes legal citizens commit?

Not ALL, and not WORSE, but totally unnecessary, and preventable, because they shouldn't be here. And their worth is greatly less than their cost.

This is just the latter portion of a circular argument.
Assertion: Illegal immigrants should not be here.
Why? For one, because:
A. They commit many crimes.
Why is that a reason? Because:
B. They shouldn't be here.
Keep chugging along assuming the validity of your conclusions
