The first step to helping refugees settle in? Finding them a place to live.

"When they first arrive it's very much about survival, typically people are placed in temporary housing that can look like a hotel or an Airbnb or another type of home. Immediately we start things like cultural orientation, learning about the US, the culture here in Idaho, and enrolling them in programs," Siqueiros said.

Excuse me for saying, but is it NOT absurd to welcome in over 1.3 million so called refugees and place them in homes, feed them, give them medical care etc. when already existing homeless and US Citizen's don't have this advantage? How real and how fair is that? We all know this entire border mess is beyond WRONG. In my 68 years I've never seen anything like it more deserving of being called a complete debacle. We haven't begun to feel the effects of it yet but will in time, and it's NOT going to be a good thing. I can't imagine all the illegal drugs and criminals that about to have their way with us. But there are no doubt many that seem to think it's no big deal.......just wait

You seem confused. The article I posted and previous discussion is about Refugees being resettled here from Afghanistan, not people coming in via the southern border.

It’s time for Idaho’s GOP leaders to lead and govern, not bow to the radical right

Mainstream Republicans seek to ‘rescue’ Idaho from its increasingly far-right politics

There will be a special place in Hell for "mainstream republicans".

They probably won't burn as badly as the far right radical Republican extremists will.

Why would you say something like that? Try to keep it classy please. Inserting your personal hate is so outdated.

Read through the posts on this page. My response was sarcasm replying to "EyeOnMadisonStreet"s post.
New to the news thread vocal?

Talk about "keeping it classy please" and "inserting your personal hate".

Where did you come from? You're not from Idaho right? Your extreme views often come across as the most divisive on the local forum.

You do realize the Idaho government is currently a hot mess? It isn't a secret and many Republicans will say the same about certain other extreme/far right people in our government.

Remember the MAGA "movement" is a threat to our country. They love violence.
