Will this be on the west side of Memorial Parkway, next to LendNation? In the cleared parking lot? The image / drawing looks bigger than this lot.

That quote appears at the bottom of this article:

That quote is from Tanger and IMO to be taken with a grain of salt.

Te Bridge Street theatre benefits from a lack of competition as the two theatres nearest to Bridge Street closed, and it seems increasingly unlikely that the replacement Touchstar will be built.

Kind of shocking really that Madison County only has three movie theatres in operation.

I wish there was at least one drive-in movie theater left.

The closest one is in Tullahoma, TN.

I was downtown today, and had to take a different route than usual to get back to 565. Plus, I like to just see what's going on on occasion.

The new federal courthouse is very impressive, and much larger than I thought it would be. "Monumental" is a good descriptor. It looks a lot like post offices and federal courthouses looked like when they were built a hundred years ago. I like the site too, on a little hill overlooking the streets.

At night everything downtown is really impressive, nice and colorful. All of the changing lighting on the VBC , parking garages, the new apartment buildings with the residents decorations, along with Tinsel Trail (400+ decorated trees) , ice skating, and decorations on most buildings is very uplifting.

And best I can tell, downtown is not only beautiful at night, it's also safe. Not many sizable cities can say that.

Default News update on the traffic construction

Tv station with article attempted to provide an update on the larger construction project to create a legitimate bypass. They did this without any maps or overview depiction of the roads or locations.

https://whnt.com/news/huntsville/nor...-moving-along/

Even the video was all over on intersections, traffic lights, and interview with councilman in the foothills of Monte Sano.

Here is the mystery: This “bypass project “ reportedly is the “largest in rocket city history” and going to cost $40 million and connect a bunch of 4 lane highways while the city pursues a $65 million elevated walkway project. What’s wrong with this picture?

$40M nowadays isn't much of a road project (this particular one is just two two-lane frontage roads with traffic signals, not a freeway), but I don't think that it's the "largest in Rocket City History". 565 cost much more than that, and since then I think road projects have far outpaced other projects in dollars/unit. The widening by one lane of a short stretch of 565 between County Line Rd and Wall Triana is set to start in the spring, and cost in the neighborhood of $50M. The 565 flyovers into and out of Town Madison are costing close to $40M. Although not here, there's a project in the starting phase for a northern 6-lane freeway loop (of questionable necessity) around Birmingham with initial cost estimate of $5B.
