You know Richard is going to help her get into position to keep bringing in the money.

But she will have to get in line being a new Senator in the beginning.

Tommy Tuberville is your other Senator.

The way this country is going though, I wouldn't want to be in their position.

nah, Katie will do great, plus she has Senator Shelby on speed dial if she needs any help. She worked for him for years and knows a lot about being a senator. It will take some time but that would be true of anyone new.

Take some time…..

it took Sen. Shelby over 25 years to ascend to the Appropriations chairmanship (in the minority party). And then he lost it for a bit before regaining. It didn’t help his ascent that he started as a democrat for his first ten years.

Sen. Shelby also graduated college in the 1950’s and thus is almost 90. Long political career.

True, and the torch has to pass at some point. It might take her a while to hit full stride but I think she'll do fine. Not so sure about our other senator though.

Little difficult to tell at this point. Her platform was fairly empty because she was basically running unopposed.

Will she align with the 18 “GOP senators” that just voted yes to $1.7 trillion or the other side; which is where the “other Senator” resides.

Not this week. All airlines have jacked up their prices in response. Price gouging seems to be the norm

The reason Shelby has such an impressive Congressional add list this year is because he is the retiring ranking member on the Appropriations Committee. The committee usually is very generous to retiring ranking members and chairmen.
