The AN-225 is flying again. It has been in maintenance and receiving upgrades for the last 18 months or so. Test flights have been taking place this month in Russia. Maybe one day it will fly to HSV.

The Beach Company has put up a sign at their development next to Stovehouse. Not much to it, but shows a 4 or 5 story brick apartment building and a 1/2 story retail space.

Ascent Hospitality, the people behind The Autograph Hotel on Monroe, hasbought 310 Clinton W under the LLC Clinton Street Hotels. This property is next to Cadence Bank across from where the Residence Inn is being built.

I am curious if any of the development downtown will be stopped due to the economy. From the news above, it doesn't seem like it.

also, did Ascent hospitality buy the parking lots before the bank and the other office building?

I am curious about it too. I think it all depends on the speed and strength of the recovery.

Ascent bought the parking lot and one story building sandwiched between Cadence and the 4 story building with the AT&T logo on Clinton. They also got the lot right behind it that connects to Holmes that is just a surface lot.

The old Greyhound station is also being renovated. A furniture store/interior design shop is slated to open there.

Would not be surprised if the Beach development really become a big catalyst for that area.
A hotel is also planned plus the old noojin property on Holmes will be ripe for development

Still no news on the old Coca Cola property? They seem to be taking their time releasing information on it.

Last December I posted about a response I got from Rocket Development Partners. They did not seem in any hurry back then. Since they are based in New York City it may be awhile before they even think about their development in Huntsville.

Multi-use development planned for former Coca-Cola plant site
