Who said I feel strongly about this?

I'm just giving my opinion. I don't live in Aldine, nor will I ever.

Then why do you even care if they are ranked #1 or ranked #1000?
I have no plans of living in Aldine as well, but I also don't on crapping on any accomplishment that is bestowed upon the school district.

I resent that! I came from Aldine and my parents still live there. You will find that many of the kids in Aldine are quite determined to do well in school. Poor folks like us KNOW the only way out is via scholarship or grant which we can only achieve through stellar school performance. Myself and my 3 brothers/sisters all graduated from college and two of us make 6 figure incomes while the other 2 of us work for the government.

I know a number of other Aldine graduates who have done quite well for themselves.

I meant recently. I'm well aware of how it was twenty years ago, when it was a completely different place.

The last of my siblings (one of the six figure income earners) graduated 10 years ago. Several other kids in my parents neighborhood are now attorneys, some are still working on being doctors (internships are tough). Many more are now small business owners. Not saying there aren't some losers, there are. But there are more who realize they have to get in the game if they are going to improve.

Yes, they do explain how they rate the schools for the list. Most lists include Magnate and Charters.
However, Grantham Middle is not a magnate or Charter neither is any of Aldine schools as far as I know.
I consider Aldine an inner city school district even though it is outside the loop. Houston is just different that way.

Aldine has an engineering and science magnet (can't remember the name)
