I originally heard the city wouldnt allow it, but i heard some rumours before rhe economy slump. Maybe they could do it like San Antonio and build right outside the limits? Anyone heard anything?

I think they should put a theme park across 610 from the Astrodome and Reliant Stadium. There's a big empty space there.

There is a forum just like this one where people post there memories about Astroworld. According to city tax records the value of the land has dropped far below the purchase price. So the future of this land is just up in la la land.

I find it fasinating what each and every ride sold for at auction which is all listed.

The land of old six flags had a rather large office park proposed for it, which connected well with the LRT that borders the land to east. When the recession hit, it never made it past the proposal stage.

More than likely it will develop into some sort of mixed use space given its location and proximity to the LRT.

Maybe a nice Wal-mart with a huge parking lot will be nice. (Being realistic here since this is Houston were talking about).
