$10 to see a bunch of model homes? I can do that for free if I drive around any of the 20 "master planned communities" around town.

They say a sucker is born every minute...

I went to a theme park today where I could see the latest products, scan items, and make purchases on the spot. But Kroger didn't charge $10 for admission.

Is this just another scheme by the Earth Quest Adventures people? It seriously seems like it could be.

I went to their website. I'm confused. $10 to find out things I could ask at Home Depot for free....

This pretty much sums up the Houston mentality. Business is considered "fun".

Quote:
This happiest-place-on-earth boasts plenty of eye candy, but it doesn't have wild thrill rides, carnival games or darling merry-go-rounds. Rather, it plays off one of the city's economic strengths: Real estate.

This is not a theme park this just a lame way for a builder to sell another 20 to 50 homes

I frequently visit model homes for insipiration (for free!). I just say hey, I'm not interested in buying at this time but I'd like to check out the house and the decor if that's okay - Most Sales rep's don't mind one bit if you're honest and aren't wasting their time trying to sell you the house.

Why would I pay for what I can do for free?

well, although i think this won't stay open long cause people have other FREE options (home depot,lowes,etc)....i wouldn't mind checkin it out. my wife and i are terrible at "home decor" because we can't visualize it in our home. i've passed by this place every day on my way home and i thought it was just a new custom home builder or something...i'm not sure i like the $10 entry fee, maybe $5 would be better......and i also wouldn't consider this a "theme park".
