And you have no idea how much I donate to charity. It's plenty.

Is that loud enough for you?

That's right, they are leaving the high tax states with all "your special services" and coming here. That doesn't support your argument very well. Charity is not the same as government, in other words, you won't pay more of your money in taxes. That speaks volumes. That's what I love about liberals, they always want everyone else to pay for their services. It's never their money. That kind of does sound like a cool system. LOL.

No, as usual you just don't get it.

Maybe you are okay with drug addled, hopeless homeless people practically four to a corner between 8 and 610 along Westheimer because we don't have the taxes to help them, but many are not.

And when they break your window and steal your stuff looking for their next fix then you call the police and wait 4 hours for them to show up, don't come crying to me.

Maybe I'll just LOL right back atcha.

What you call "liberal" many used to call "Christian". And I am a "denier".

Funny how times change.

Oh, and by the way if a state income tax came up for vote, guess which way I would vote?

So there goes your theory.

Another weak argument. The People's Republic of San Francisco has the largest homeless population in the country and they all over you when you walk around their city. And SF probably provides more social services then any other city in the country. Whoops, that shot your theory down. Oh yeah, I have no doubt you are a denier. LOL.

CRB that happens anywhere. When industry busts, people flee and the place goes to hell, but that doesn't mean it is due to oil. Conversely, when an area produces lots of income it doesn't mean low taxes

And four, and this applies to all of western europe, the US taxpayer subsidizes their military which is a huge expense. If Europe paid for our defense we would save almost a trillion dollars a year. You need to be careful with your dependent variables. Your analytical skills are seriously lacking.
Stop it, you are being almost as snappy as me.

I bet anything that San Antonio has more homeless people than San Francisco.
At least in San Francisco housing is expensive and there's no land for more housing, I don't know what's the excuse in San Antonio.

It's well known on average conservatives are significatly more generous with their money and time to charity than liberals.

Not if you actually want a professional job that pays well. If you want to leave college with ton of debt and no job at a "superior" university knock yourself out. I didn't but know plenty of underemployed people living with mommy and daddy or roommates who did.

California has some of the highest(if not the highest) taxes in the country and they have the same problems we do.

To my mind, the pleasures of a low tax rate don't really seem to be worth what they cost in human life and suffering. Would you rather have more taxation and have everyone covered for health care, or would you rather have less taxation and have lots of people without health care? The answer is obvious:

I pay more money out of each paycheck and therefore have less nice stuff, and another man feels freed up to go check on that lump in his armpit. I continue to have less nice stuff, and another man lives because he's not afraid a doctor visit will break his family's bank account.

Please, people. Is a low tax rate really more important than human decency?
