Agreed. Because until Houston starts getting any respect -- meaning, actually shown on national weather maps instead of El Paso and Austin, not continually trashed and underrated, mentioned in the mainstream media for positives and not just negatives, not constantly ignored and thrown aside (basically, treatment it already
should be getting considering its size and stature), I'm not sure that many people here care about the actual number of residents. Just my observation...

Isn't there another thread on here talking about the population of Houston decreasing? Anyway, Houston will not pass Chicago in terms of population because the city is not built that way. There is too much space between buildings. The city would have to undergo a major facelift.

If it makes you feel better, I was at Café Kubo's a few weeks ago and saw Houston on the TV Japan (NHK) weather report but no sign of Dallas.
