Some places are Gallery Furniture, Exclusive Furniture, Star and Fingers. There are several furniture stores down by Westheimer and Richmond.

BDS 539 there are so many store available in Houston but if you or any your relative want to buy the good furniture you can visit galleryfurniture or starfurniture they both are good.

Bassett is totally reasonably priced for actual furniture. They also have lots of sales. If you want a couch for $400 I call that cheap not reasonable and you totally get what you pay for (interior made of corrugated cardboard or paper veneers for example) i.e. salesman at X furniture store telling me "you'll break it" by me sitting on the arm of the couch

classic non-tacky is hard to find for a decent quality/price. Bassett's website/listserv announces when they have their clearances and 30% off sales a few times a year. i also purchased a $1,300 arm chair for show room price of $800
