Come on make your minds up....we got the biggest is assigned to almost everything that this city wants to boast about.

Houston's positives are some fantastic neighborhoods, restaurants, weather, growing cultural and multicultural self. Even though it is spread out too much most things are a convenient drive away...really almost everything we drove to in Chicago is only 5-6 miles away from us here (Chicago it was out in Schaumburg or Gurne.

There is a vibrant arts community. The city has practically everything a city should have....but
Houston doesn't want to be a city so they need to give up on that and just be a better who they are...build on that. Don't get me going on their less than 3rd world public transportation.

P.S. Houston isn't anywhere near the hell hole lots of folks say it is. We have been pleasantly surprised by it.
In other words, Houston isn't as great of a city that it had the potential to be. I wholeheartedly agree with that.

Yes. Those cities are more urban. Please tell us something that we don't know though. Really.

I think that the description/word "urban" is DAMN overrated, and it's starting to annoy the HELL outta of me. So what if Houston isn't as "urban" as Philadelphia, SF, Boston, or Chicago, the city is located in the South, PEOPLE! The South is very sprawly and spread out. The culture and atmosphere are different here than in the North. Houston, Atlanta, Birmingham, Charlotte, Dallas, etc. are "urban" on Southern standards. People, you're killing me with this "urban" and density ish. Giveme a break.

you really wanna compare Houston "urban" to Haight-Ashbury and Fisherman's Warf? Really?

Houston versus 2 of the worst tourist traps on the West coast. I'll take Houston. You missed experiencing SF on your holiday
