We are thinking about going with Newmark Homes in Southern Trails in Pearland? Are they a good builder? I know that there are good and bad with every home builder and would love to hear your experiences with them.

Thanks.

Default Newmark anyone?

No one here has dealt with or has a Newmark Home? Just wanted to hear about your experience, etc.

Thanks.

Smile nemark

Newmark is ok builder. Parent company TOUSA is in deep trouble though. Southern Trails is a beautiful upcoming area though. You should check out the side with rec center.

Thumbs down Stay away from Newmark especially in Southern Trails

I know someone who has purchased a home in Southern Trail from Newmark, and they are having major problems with their home not to mention all the problems throughtout the entire process from start and now end. Not a very ethical company. Choose your builder very wisely take a look at J.D. Powers report on Newmark - got very poor ratings. My friend has nothing good to say about this builder. They love the community as a whole but wish they had brought from another builder in Southern Trails, they don't plan to stay very long in this horribly built house (very poor construction).

DEFECTS BY LARGE BUILDERS

The Texas Residential Construction Commission investigated and found defects in 27 homes built by the area's 20 largest-volume builders, listed here. That represents less than 10 percent of the houses found to have defects in the last two years. Custom and smaller-scale builders account for the rest.

These are what we consider cookie cutter homes and with the market being what it is, builders in general are cutting any corner that they can. Values are going down and materials are going up, so when you do the math you must be careful.

Moderator cut: do not solicit business in the forums Many people are now finding themselves upside down in their homes and that is a big investment to be upside down in. Good luck and hope all go's well!

Nice list. I highly recommend David weekly homes if they are in the neighborhood of your choice. Stay away from Lennar. My sub in Seven Meadows is shared by DWH and Lennar and the quality/service difference is very noticeable.

Thumbs down Newmark Homes not worth the money

Newmark is not better than KB or Choice homes. Lennar, KB even Choice Homes got better overall ratings in Quality & Customer Service than Newmark. They are not worth the price tag and headache!
