They have a huge outdoor pool and huge outdoor hot tub, two indoor pools (maybe 3?) adult only time in all of the pools/hot tubs throughout the week, massive fitness area so you never wait for any type of machine, free classes (yoga, pilates, spin etc) included with membership and classes are held throughout EACH day...3 story rock climbing wall with some auto belay machines...locker rooms are posh with hot tubs in each, an in-house full service salon for haircuts, pedicures, massages etc and a full service cafe serving healthy lunches/dinners and smoothies/shakes.

The only concern we had before joining was parking...City Centre has become so popular it can sometimes be a nightmare to find parking. We've been members for 2 months now and it hasn't been a problem yet..Lifetime has reserved spots throughout the 4 story garage.

PS. The Lifetime "level" of this club is Onyx...the only one in Texas. This means you can go to ANY other club in the country that is gold, platinum or onyx. In fact, there are only 2 others you can't go to in the US...the one in NYC is a diamond club and so is one in Chicago. This is a HUGE plus if you travel a lot

Is there anything on the west side of Houston similar to the YMCA when I was a kid where you could play basketball, swim and they even had pool tables?

Only thing I don't like about Lifetime is all the kids that take over that place. Lifetime has the highest percentage of gym bunnies though, which is a good thing.

I don't know about the other Lifetimes, but CityCentre's isn't over run with kids. There are more on the weekends, but if you go in the morning when the teens are asleep... they won't be there.

Do you use the pools? How much is it? Is it worth the price? I pay only $49 a YEAR and will be for the rest of my life at 24 Hour Fitness.

I too only pay $49 per YEAR for Super Sport access. I got this deal way back in the days when they were offering memberships with upfront payment of $650 for three years, then $49 every year after. It seemed like a lot at that time for a one-time up front payment, but definitely paying off now. Also wasn't able to take advantage of Super Sport access much since the one in Katy (off Mason) was just Sport, but now I go to the new on they built off of 99 and 1093 which is Super Sport. The main difference is this one has both indoor lappool and outdoor pool with a nice slide, towel service and child care offered throughout the whole day rather than limited hours.

You did the pre-pay for 24 Hour Fitness too? You can't beat $650 and $49 a year for lifetime. Can't get any cheaper then that. What kind of pre-pay are they offering now?

We have just one super sport right?
