Does anyone have any experience with either of these? We are members at Lifetime-Cinco, but are seriously considering quitting. It's just too expensive- we pay a total of almost 150.00 (including taxes) for myself and hubby. And now that we're in the house (and out of a cramped apt) we just don't seem to use the Lifetime amenities- like the steam room, sauna, whirlpool. We mostly just end up using the treadmills/bikes. So, why pay for everything else?

Any thoughts

Well, if it's just you and your husband, I'm, sure you can find what you need at a more economical price. When we lived in Sugar Land our Lifetime membership was $90 a month - and we had 5 kids under 12. In the Fall of 2007, they raised the prices and charged us $6 per kid, which meant we were paying $120 for a family of 7. For us it was completely worth it to have access to the great child care facilities - just so I could have a couple of hours of sanity a few days a week! Now that we live in the Charlotte area, we have a membership at our local YMCA. While it's not the luxury of Lifetime, it is a newer facility with a great kids' area and wonderful pool/ water park. we pay $71 per month for a family membership. Do you have a regular membership or an upgraded one?

Nope. Our membership is just the regular one- the club is a Platinum. But the fees are just too high for what we end up using- I'm going to check out the Y tomorrow.
There is a 24 hour fitness, but it's a little further away
