I have cats - will laminate get scratched from them walking on it? I thought wood would scratch easier.

I have never seen scratches from cats or small dogs. The scratched up floors I have seen have always been people's large dogs. I just figured that it was because their claws were bigger and the dogs much heavier.

Get tile, real wood. Do it right. Pet friendly too.
Tile, yes. Taken care of, it can last 40+ years.

Wood? Pet friendly? Seems to me like dogs would scratch the daylights out of wood or laminate.

No?
